Stevenson or bust

Nic and Nik
Six months between visits are way too long, but with crazy work schedules and school obligations, it happened. Remedied this weekend. We had the chance to visit familyfriends once again. And you know what the coolest part was...it wasn't like we had even been gone. As soon as we walked through the door, mahem.
the kids were off doing their thing and we didn't see much of them except for meal times. Audrey got into the action with the girls this trip and danced solo on the dance pad "gabbie's bed made into the stage" Nicholas and Niki played all day Saturday, then nic discovered the X box. we didn't see much of him, however he did manage to get IZZy and Niki to share their rooms. I personally would have made him sleep on the couch but they still like their brotherfriend for some reason. Jessica, Rhonda and I got to go to dinner together, no pic though cuz it is on Jessica's camera/phone. Didn't see much of Chandler he was busy Dancing with gorgeous women at the church sponsored dance and hanging out with his friends, but there was some talk of Chan living with us next year, we will see what comes of that. Can't juggle the newborn and preschooler. how can I do teenagers???? oh wait a minute, in Child develpment it does say that 16 year olds act out much like the 3 year olds. We will just need to give him a good time out....
Rhonda would miss her baby boy.

gabby and madi sleeping, not really.

convincing Roxy that Rhonda's lap actually was full...of Rebecca, no room for the Dane.

visiting Truxton
Loving Auntie Jess

Alas, we had to go home.

My Wish

Missing Chandler, Curtis and the Epling girls

I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow & each road leads you where you want to go & If you're faced with the choice and you have to choose I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.

And if one door opens to another door closed I hope you keep on walking til you find the window, If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile.

I hope you never look back but you never forget all the ones who love you and the place you left, I hope you always forgive and your never regret. and you help somebody every chance you get.

Oh' you'd feel God's grace in every mistake and you always give more than you take, but more than anything

My wish for you

is that this life becomes all that you want it to, your dreams stay big, your worries stay small, you never need to carry more thatn you can hold.

and while you're out there gettin where you're getting to, I hope you know somebody loves you and wants the same things too, this is my wish

Once upon a time...

A boy tried to surprise a girl with a bouquet of flowers. He hung out in the parking lot at the high school cuz he didn't want to seem like an old guy following the cute chick still in high school. As soon as the girl saw him her jaw drop and she got in her car after saying hi. Leaving the most embarassed boy in the parking lot with his hands still holding the most beautiful yellow roses.

My Boy

Oh boy, I am not very good at blogging about MY BOY. and OH boy he is totally boy these days. Nicholas is usually in his own world so I don't get too many pics of him. Lately he is been totally into reading and giving Madison the run for "whose the most avid reader award" He is also into his DS games, fossils, and whatever else is in his head that helps him be unaware of the world around him.

Like most boys, he hates to wash his hair or brush it, also can't get him to brush those teeth, or match his socks, or match his clothes. LOL. I am sure some of you have heard me say it, and I promise this will be the last time, but he keeps telling me, "It doesn't matter what I look like on the outside, mom, only the inside counts." My opinion is of coarse all of those things make being around the inside you a lot more pleasent.

An interesting fact about my sweet guy is for all his tenderness, he can't stand babies. and still holds a grudge about the fact that Audrey once was a baby, therefore she is still not worth the trouble. Thus he still hasn't held his little sister Rebecca and probably wont ever. Although don't tell him I saw, but I did see him looking at her with a little tiny grin on his face. He is delegated to diaper duty... throwing away the diapers (they are so small Richard refers to the rolled up things as acorns) until he decides to hold the baby. he seems to be fine with that.

Jousting

So With all the babes I get in a tele or movie rut,
With Audrey I watchted THE XMEN and
the Wedding Singer over and over. Nicholas I watched
The Dixie Chicks holiday concert over and over
and with Madison it was City of Angels and the news...
I couldn't stop watching the news. So Audrey and I have
been watching A knight's tale. Nicholas and Madison usually
watch the end by the time they get home. I didn't realize how
pathetic I was until Audrey said. "ughhh mom we have watched it
three times already mom." Which that day we had watched it,
listened to it in the background for three times already .
No wonder why she exclaims that "Mamom, makes life more funner."
these days. Anyways I had this idea that the kids might
enjoy jousting a little bit
Audrey was on her roller skates and
Nicholas on his cool long board on skates he got
from his Papa Barrie this year.

It looked like a lot of fun, However Audrey is just learning
how to skate so even rolling in them without someone coming towards
her is still proving to be a challenge.
Well I took back my suggestion/permission
for the evening activity.
Both Aud and Nic Requested a gold trophy for the championship.

She is ready for her close up...

so here is a picture of rebecca mid-head flop. in her pj's that say I love Daddy.
This picture was better live... she had her hand under her head and had turn towards me in such a "madonna" strike a pose moment.
Sorry about the lack of photos I have gotten out of the habit of clicking the little camera button. I will try to be mindful and start taking more snap shots. A challenge to keep anything in "mind" while in my sleep deprived state.

Shhhhh she is sleeping

Audrey and I had a full day of taking the kids to school, feeding the baby, browsing the web, feeding the baby, doing dishes, feeding the baby watching Everafter, feeding the baby, a little bit of laundry, feeding the baby, coloring, feeding the baby, making construction paper crowns, playing hide n seek, and, yep, feeding the baby. shhhhh the baby is sleeping
